Shoot, i LOVE how that came out!!!
Here is the story:
None of stray dogs wanted him with, cuz he was so inteligent and powerful, that they were afraid of him. As he fall in love with saluki they got scared, that his pups wuld be just like him, so they attacked him and even if he didnt give up, even if he fighted, they beat him to death. There was too much of them. His saluki cryed loudly and her tears fall on his face. He didnt wake up. He, the western tiger, as they called him, was so proud and purehearted, he was shining in his courige. He allways fighted for something he beleved in, for his pride and justice, till his end, when he was teared away from the world he lived in. The generations after him changed, but his spirit lived on in the forest, in wich he was muerdered, to help young and helpless. Long time after his death he met young kai-ken. Even if he culdnt see him he knew that there is someone, who stands up for him. After he allmost lost his faith he decidet to go on. To live. That repeated meny times again. Jedah was protecting innoncent lifes, till one day... DONT STEAL JUST BECOURSE I REMOVED THE WATERMARK!

He is a LOVELY dog, and he deserved better!
LOVELY picture, a nice basic background, seems more realistic, most people would do a huge forest, but having a few trees dotted around, is more realistic for this time we live in

Anyway, I like the background. It's noticable, but it's simple, so it doesn't pull the viewer's attention away from Jedah. His pose looks fairly natural and from my perspective he's in proportion.
All I can suggest is to use a darker red for blood.

Yeah, I can see how that can be a problem. Rose Art has a pencil set of about 72 pencils, I think. It has a pretty broad range.
